South of Scotland Destination Alliance 2026 Conference – Marketing Presentation

I had a great day attending the 5th annual SSDAlliance conference with more than 200 South of Scotland tourism business leaders.

It was great to network, share experiences and build new collaborations for the next chapter of tourism in the South of Scotland. They had an incredible line-up of speakers who generously shared their knowledge of the industry. I know I learnt a lot!

I was delighted to run a breakout session with Vanessa Wegstein ACIM on Marketing & Social Media – Finding and connecting with your audience online. We spoke about all the ways that you can engage with your audiences to tell your story and how to work with Influencers. As well as one of my favourite topics Regenerative Marketing and how important it is to build a community, and for us to become custodians and stewards for the future of the South of Scotland.

I’ve been working with the South of Scotland Destination Alliance on the Scotland Starts Here social media channels since October last year and they are a fantastic team who do great work for the region!

All our presentations are online if you want to check out our slides and learn more about the day and I can’t wait to see what happens in the South of Scotland over the next few years.
