This week at Door in the Wall Arts Access, we had the opportunity to visit Edinburgh Tool Library, thanks to the Community Learning Exchange fund, through the Scottish Community Alliance.
A big thank you to Chris and the team, for sharing their skills and knowledge and helping us to prepare to set up our own sharing library… Watch this space!
Sharing networks like the Edinburgh Tool Library create positive change in multiple ways – they foster community, improve accessibility to resources and knowledge, and reduce our collective consumption through the sharing of resources.
The Edinburgh Tool Library do amazing work, not only providing access to tools and equipment, but also the opportunity to learn new skills and knowledge. When you become a member of ETL you can borrow thousands of tools as well as take part in classes and workshops. We highly recommend paying them a visit and supporting sharing networks across Scotland!
And thank you to Circular Communities Scotland for endorsing our application – we look forward to working with you all more in the future.
It’s a really exciting time to be getting involved in the Share and Repair industry, it can make a huge difference in creating our sustainable future.
