About Me

Hi, Thanks for visiting my website!

Here’s a little more about me and how I ended up here…

I grew up in Edinburgh before moving to Dumfries & Galloway in 2015. I love rural living but much of my work still takes me back to the Central Belt, enjoying the best of both worlds.

I’ve always loved being in creative community spaces, I spent my teenage years in the theatre and taking part in youth activities, sports and creating community activities for young people.

I studied Festival & Event Management at Edinburgh Napier University and I’ve built a career around giving others the opportunities that I had growing up.

So far, I’ve enjoyed a hugely varied career that I’m incredibly proud of and I’ve had the chance to work with so many brilliant people along the way.

From managing high profile Government events, working in International hotel development teams, to regionwide rural festivals and creating impactful marketing campaigns for visitor attractions and music festivals to name a few highlights, it has been an amazing journey so far and we’re just at the beginning of an exciting new chapter.

Porteous Creative was born in 2022 to expand my work across Scotland. Throughout my career, I’ve worked on over 600 events in operations, communications and production.

As well as supporting communities and organisations to develop sustainable visions for the future, locally, nationally and internationally as an accredited Action Learning Facilitator and Three Horizons Practitioner where I help people to explore new perspectives, develop actionable strategies, and navigate the complexities of change, creating exciting future visions.

I’ve worked with so many incredible organisations and communities and I’m looking forward to where 2026 will take us!
